PASAY CITY EARNS HIGH COMPLIANCE RATING IN MANILA BAY REHABILITATION PROGRAM

The local government of Pasay City has secured a 91.39% score and the “Highly Compliant” designation during the 2025 Manila Bay Clean-up, Rehabilitation and Preservation Program Local Government Units Compliance Assessment.

The announcement was officially made by the Department of the Interior and Local Government–National Capital Region (DILG-NCR).

​DILG-NCR commended the administration of Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano for its efficient leadership and consistent environmental strategies aimed at promoting ecological conservation, sanitation, and the restoration of Manila Bay. This evaluation highlights Pasay’s persistent campaign to decrease pollution in waterways, upgrade refuse disposal methods, and protect its shoreline ecosystems.

Furthermore, the recognition bolsters Pasay’s aspiration to be recognized as the first EcoCity in the Philippines, highlighting its long-term dedication to eco-friendly urban growth and transparent environmental management.

DILG-NCR noted that the city administration intends to scale up initiatives centered on ecological duty while rallying citizen involvement to preserve Manila Bay and safeguard natural resources for future generations.
