VIBE PLUS marked a milestone celebration of OPM with an action-packed lineup featuring 80s-themed throwbacks, powerful dance numbers, chart-topping hits, teleserye soundtracks, and iconic guest performances.
The event kicked off in 80s style with the VIBE Jocks, GEN Vs, Star Worx artists, and Eat Bulaga’s Singing Queens performing iconic OPM hits such as “Narda,” “Catriona,” and “Toyang.” The energy escalated as Star Worx Block 1 girls delivered fierce choreography to Karl Wine and John Roa’s “Oh Na Na” and Gloc-9’s “Sumayaw Ka.”
The MAIN VIBE countdown saw intense competition among fan-favorite acts. Yes My Love made a surprise comeback at rank 3 with “Rhythm,” taking the opportunity to invite fans to their upcoming concert, PULSO, on August 8. Securing the second spot was BNV2K with their latest single, “Nag-iisang Ikaw,” which the band shared was originally dedicated to God.
Taking the top spot was rising P-pop boy group BILIB with their 3rd anniversary track “MATSALUV.” BILIB member Zio shared that the song honors their brotherhood, their support system, and their fanbase, BITUINs.
The VIBE SPOT featured signature soundtracks from TV5’s biggest teleseryes. Quest took the stage to perform “Huling Gabi” from A Secret In Prague and reflected on the unexpected second life of his music.
“Ang isang awitin, may lifespan ‘yan. So once it, plays on the radio, people appreciate it and you get a satisfaction pero sobrang for it to have a second life, sobrang nakakataba ng puso. Parang path in the back para sa akin bilang songwriter na Uy! May silbi pa yung ginagawa kong kanta,” Quest expressed.
VIBE Jock Carmela Lorzano and Eat Bulaga’s Rouelle Cariño also performed “Hesus Ng Aking Buhay” from My Bespren Emman, with both expressing deep gratitude and surprise for the opportunity to lend their voices to a television OST.
Closing out the show, LEGIT VIBE star Ice Seguerra delivered a memorable set, performing “Pakisabi Na Lang” alongside VIBE Jock Gigi and debuting his new single, “Sa’yo Bumabalik.”
Ice reflected on returning to the stage despite his work as a director and producer, noting how performing live serves as a unique form of personal expression. The evening reached a sentimental climax as Ice joined VIBE Jocks Dylan and Gigi for a rendition of “Pagdating Ng Panahon (25 Years Later).”
VIBE announced that voting for the MAIN VIBE has been extended by two weeks until August 6 at 11:59 AM, leading into their month-long anniversary celebration launching August 1.
