‘SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY’ BREAKS PH BOX OFFICE RECORDS ON OPENING DAY

The web-slinger has smashed Philippine box office records once again as “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” earned nearly ₱96 million on its debut, according to local distributor Columbia Pictures.

The latest Marvel spectacle generated ₱95,930,965 on its first day in Philippine theaters. The impressive turnout marks the biggest post-pandemic opening-day debut in the country’s box office history, while also securing the title of Sony Pictures’ highest-grossing opening day locally.

This performance places the movie as the third-highest opening day for any Hollywood release in Philippine history, trailing only Marvel Studios’ “Avengers: Endgame” and “Avengers: Infinity War.”

The film stars British actor Tom Holland, returning as Peter Parker to navigate a new chapter as Spider-Man—protecting his city while dealing with a world where his true identity has been entirely forgotten.
