Malacañang highlighted the warm relationship between two prominent political families following an advance birthday visit by Kris Aquino and her sons, Josh and Bimby, to First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos.
During a Palace press briefing on Tuesday, August 11, Communications Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro stated that while specific details of their discussion remain private, the courtesy call speaks volumes about their cordial ties.
”Actually, I tried to ask the First Lady about that. Wala pa siya ni-share sa akin. Pero nakita naman natin kung ano iyong pahiwatig ng pagbisita ni Kris, ni Ms. Kris Aquino at ng kaniyang mga anak, nagpapahiwatig ito na maganda ang kanilang relasyon,” Castro said.
Although Castro noted that she has not been briefed on the specific topics discussed during the meeting, she confirmed that the interaction was upbeat and pleasant.
”Kung ano iyong kanilang pag-usapan, wala po naibibigay sa akin at kung mayroon man ay baka hindi pa ako allowed sabihin ito,” she explained.
”But definitely masaya naman sila, pero kapag naibigay sa atin ni First Lady, ang mga magaganda nilang naging usapan, ishi-share ko naman iyan sa inyo,” Castro added.
The First Lady revealed the meeting in a social media post on Sunday, August 9, sharing that the Aquino family surprised her with cakes ahead of her upcoming birthday on August 21.
Araneta-Marcos expressed her gratitude for the gesture, calling it a thoughtful surprise that warmed her heart.
