Former Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo faces additional legal troubles after the Pasig Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 67 issued another warrant of arrest against her for three counts of violating Republic Act No. 3019, also known as the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act.
The order also names 11 other individuals implicated in the case. The court set the bail amount at ₱90,000 for each count.
Guo is currently serving a life sentence at the Correctional Institution for Women in Mandaluyong City following her conviction for qualified human trafficking by a separate Pasig court.
In a related judgment, Pasig RTC Branch 167 sentenced Guo’s co-accused—Rachelle Malonzo Carreon, Jaimielyn Cruz, Walter Wong Rong, Wang Weili, Wuli Dong, Nong Ding Chang, and Lang Xu Po—to life imprisonment.
Each individual was ordered to pay a ₱2-million fine per case alongside compensation to the victims.
Additionally, the tribunal decreed the government forfeiture of the ₱6-billion Baofu compound and ordered the permanent revocation of the corporate registrations of Baofu Land Development Inc., Hongsheng Gaming Technology Inc., and Zun Yuan Technology Inc.
