MANILA PUBLIC SCHOOLS RECEIVE 308 SMART TVS

Eleven public elementary schools across Tondo, Manila have been provided with 308 smart televisions to strengthen digital instruction and enhance classroom engagement for students.

Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso spearheaded the official turnover ceremony at Rosauro Elementary School, where the 55-inch Samsung Smart TV units—donated by the ICTSI Foundation—were formally turned over to school principals and teaching staff. Each television comes complete with full-motion wall mount brackets for classroom installation.

City officials highlighted that the digital equipment will enable educators to integrate interactive visual media directly into daily lesson plans, modernizing the learning environment.

Domagoso stressed the crucial role of multi-sectoral partnerships between local government, public educators, and private organizations in improving educational outcomes.

”School, City Government, private sector—nagtutulong-tulong. Sigurado naman, hindi na tayo maliligwak sa reading comprehension,” Domagoso said.

The local chief executive noted that private sector support provides a vital boost to public schools striving to upgrade their facilities despite current challenges.

”Umuwi kayo na parang nilulugmok tayo ng panahon, cloudy. Pinalulungkot ang buhay natin, pero masaya ako—11 schools in Tondo, umuuwi na may ngiti at hope because ICTSI gave us the opportunity to better our facilities,” he said.

The Manila City government affirmed its commitment to pursuing similar private partnerships to continuously modernize public school resources throughout the capital.
