GMA-7 is set to broadcast the romantic-comedy series Love, Siargao on its primetime lineup this coming September.
The project centers on Jao, brought to life by Alden Richards, and Kara, portrayed by Nadine Lustre, whose paths cross during their stay in Siargao. Their journey is driven by local island folklore regarding the “Siargao curse,” a belief that those who visit will either end up settling on the island permanently or falling unexpectedly in love.
As Jao and Kara share more moments together, their connection deepens, leaving them to navigate whether they will break away from the legend or yield to its romance.
The ensemble cast includes Kyline Alcantara, Kim Ji Soo, AZ Martinez, Vince Maristela, Coleen Garcia, Gab Lagman, Kakki Teodoro, Adrian Lindayag, and Christopher Diwata.
Love, Siargao serves as the inaugural screen collaboration between Richards and Lustre. Co-produced by GMA Network and VIVA Communications, the series first made its run on the streaming service Viu Philippines, earning positive acclaim from audiences for the lead actors’ performance and dynamic.
