Manila Water Infratech Solutions (MWIS), the Non-East Zone arm of Manila Water Company, is expanding its business model to oversee and maintain external water facilities. This strategic move targets a broader customer network, including local governments, commercial real estate developers, and industrial hubs.
Moving away from its primary function as a project contractor, the subsidiary is launching complete operations and maintenance (O&M) packages.
The integrated approach combines MWIS’s construction and engineering capabilities with long-term asset management, transforming the unit into a full-lifecycle infrastructure provider across design, building, and upkeep phases.
This service expansion responds to rising operational expenses and stricter environmental regulations facing municipalities and private developers, particularly regarding wastewater compliance. MWIS’s new service scope encompasses daily plant management, process optimization, preventive and corrective maintenance, sewage treatment, and desludging.
By leveraging the expertise of parent firm Manila Water—the East Zone concessionaire—MWIS intends to help clients extend the lifespan of critical assets while lowering overall operating expenses.

By pairing core construction functions with ongoing plant management, MWIS aims to build a steady stream of recurring revenue and boost its competitiveness against Southeast Asian rivals in the industrial water sector.
