DIGIPLUS TO LAUNCH SECOND ONLINE GAMING STREAM VIA IEC PARTNERSHIP IN MANILA

DigiPlus Interactive Corporation expects to secure its second online gaming revenue stream this month through its wholly owned subsidiary, Total Gamezone Xtreme Incorporated (TGXI).

The company is set to launch the online gaming platform for International Entertainment Corporation’s (IEC) LaVie Resort & Casino Manila, formerly operating as the New Coast Hotel Manila.

While IEC’s subsidiary, New Coast Leisure Inc. (NCLI), holds the official online gaming license, TGXI will manage operational duties and serve as the gaming system administrator.

A regulatory filing submitted by IEC outlines a gross gaming revenue (GGR) split of 3% for NCLI and 97% for TGXI.

The revenue division remains subject to standard industry deductions, including license fees, audit expenses, foundation contributions, franchise taxes, and the regulatory share for the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR).

Under the Electronic Gaming Licensing Department (EGLD) of PAGCOR, NCLI holds authorization to offer Electronic Casino Games, Electronic Bingo Games, Online Poker Games, and Specialty Games.

The joint venture’s immediate deployment will focus primarily on Electronic Casino Games. The rollout features software-based Electronic Games determined by certified Random Number Generators (RNG), virtual Table Games without live human dealers, and entertainment-driven Arcade Games. All categories run on computer software accredited by PAGCOR.

Trial runs are currently underway as NCLI and TGXI work to refine operating procedures and address internal control deficiencies identified in a recent audit report.

While NCLI retains ownership of the Online Gaming Platform (OGP), TGXI provides, owns, and controls the underlying computer software, assets, and aggregated game content driving the system. The platform currently excludes streamed live land-based casino games, though the group plans to expand into land-based electronic terminals—such as Online Slot Machines and Online Table Games—during its next operational phase under NCLI’s provisional licenses.

Commenting on sector conditions, brokerage firm Abacus Securities Corporation noted that “industry-wide gross gaming revenues have steadied in the last two quarters despite high inflation.”

However, the firm pointed out potential headwinds for the sector moving into the second half of the year.

“Significant damage to property and livelihoods due to monsoon rains in the last few weeks will likely slow discretionary spending for the third quarter,” Abacus stated.

“We also see Bloomberry’s entry into online gaming as a significant risk,” the brokerage added.
