Kapatid viewers will have more movie entertainment to look forward to as “Blockbusters Sa Umaga” expands its TV5 broadcast to weekends beginning September 5.
The weekend extension will kick off with a lineup featuring family adventure, action and fantasy titles.
First on the schedule is the 2016 family adventure film “Lost and Found,” which follows teenage brothers Andy and Mark Walton as they spend their summer with their estranged and cynical Uncle Trent on a mysterious remote island that carries their family name.
“Lost and Found” will air on TV5 on Saturday, September 5, at 9:30 a.m.
The movie block will continue the following day with “Mystery of the Dragon Seal,” a 2019 action-fantasy film starring international stars Jackie Chan and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
The film centers on English cartographer Jonathan Green, who journeys from Russia toward China to map the Far East. His expedition takes an unexpected turn when he encounters an evil witch who rules over a village known for producing tea.
“Mystery of the Dragon Seal” is scheduled to air on Sunday, September 6, at 9 a.m.
“Blockbusters Sa Umaga” originally launched as an ABS-CBN weekday movie block on June 29, 2026. It airs at 8:30 a.m. simultaneously across Kapamilya and Kapatid platforms.
With its expanded TV5 schedule, viewers can now catch the movie block on Saturdays at 9:30 a.m., ahead of “Eat Bulaga,” and on Sundays at 9 a.m.
The weekend expansion gives TV5 audiences additional access to films from ABS-CBN’s movie library while further strengthening the programming collaboration between the Kapamilya and Kapatid networks.
