TRILLANES LABELS VP SARA UNFIT TO LEAD FOLLOWING BAIL APPEARANCE

Former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV questioned Vice President Sara Duterte’s capability to hold public office, pointing to her conduct when she posted bail for an arrest warrant.

Trillanes, a prominent opponent of the Duterte family, urged voters to carefully evaluate candidates for the presidency, asserting that Duterte is mentally unfit for higher office or her current position.

“Sa mga nakapanood ng mga video ng pagpiyansa ni Sara sa QC RTC, sana naman maliwanag sa inyo na wala talaga sya sa tamang pag-iisip,” Trillanes said in a social media post.

“Hindi ito pwedeng maging presidente o manatili bilang bise presidente. Alang-alang sa ating bayan at sa ating mga kapwa Pilipino, pumili naman tayo ng maayos,” he added.

His comments followed Duterte’s appearance at the Quezon City Hall of Justice, where she expressed concern for her personal security and her children’s safety.

She voiced distrust toward the police and judicial system while claiming authorities were harassing her.

According to Trillanes, these actions demonstrate that she is unqualified to lead the nation.

Duterte posted bail following the issuance of a local court’s arrest warrant concerning three counts of grave threats. The charges stem from her past remarks against President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, and former Speaker Martin Romualdez.

The legal proceedings add to her mounting challenges, which include an upcoming Senate impeachment trial that could remove her from office and permanently bar her from seeking the presidency in 2028.
