JERICHO AND ASHTINE WIN TOP ACTING HONORS AT 2026 MANILA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

​Actors Jericho Rosales and Ashtine Olviga bagged the top acting awards at the 2026 Manila International Film Festival (MIFF), where “Manila’s Finest” earned the coveted Best Picture Narrative trophy.

​The awardees were honored during the festival’s closing ceremony held at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California, on Sunday, September 6 (Monday, September 7, Manila time).

​Rosales took home the Best Actor prize for portraying former President Manuel Quezon in the biographical period film “Quezon.” Meanwhile, Olviga won Best Actress for starring as youth activist Agnes Magtibay in “Manila’s Finest.”

​In the documentary non-fiction roster, “58th” won Best Picture Documentary, while filmmaker Carl Joseph Papa earned the Best Director award for the project.
