Malacañang extended its birthday wishes to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Friday, September 11, hoping for his continued good health and the successful execution of his key national development initiatives as he prepares to turn 69 on Sunday, September 13.
Speaking at a press conference at the Philippine Embassy in New Delhi, India, Communications Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro stated that the Palace wishes for the Chief Executive’s protection and strength while he fulfills his mandate for the Filipino public.
She highlighted the President’s frequent local and international trips required by his official duties.
“Alam naman natin na laging nagbabiyahe sa lokal man, sa Pilipinas man, sa ibang bansa, laging nagbabiyahe ang Pangulo para sa pagtatrabaho para sa ating mga kababayan,” Castro noted.
Castro expressed confidence that the administration would complete the vast majority of its target initiatives before the President’s term concludes, emphasizing the need for swift action and inter-agency coordination across various government projects.
“At ang wish pa rin namin ay sana lahat ng – hindi man lahat, halos lahat ng kanyang nais na gawin para sa ating bansa at sa ating mga kababayan ay maayos, matapos bago matapos ang kanyang termino,” she said.
In addition to describing Marcos as fully focused on advancing national growth, Castro called on the public to unite behind the government’s development agenda and remain vigilant against deceptive information.
“Wish din po namin na ‘yung mga nasa dilim at ‘yung mga nasa ‘Team Itim’ ay maliwanagan para maisip nila na ang Pangulo ay kailangan ang tulong ng bawat Pilipino,” Castro remarked.
“Bawat isa sa atin ay makakatulong para maiangat natin ang sarili nating bansa. Huwag nang magpabuyo sa mga maling impormasyon at gumagawa lang ng mga maling kuwento para ibagsak ang gobyerno o ibagsak ang pamahalaan.”
