Filipino retail investors will soon be able to subscribe to Arthaland Corporation’s Series G and Series H preferred shares through GStocks PH, the investment platform integrated into the GCash app.
The offering, which will be facilitated by AB Capital Securities Inc., will allow fully verified GCash users to participate digitally without going through the usual in-person brokerage subscription process.
Both preferred share series are priced at ₱500 each. Series G, listed under the ticker ALCPG, carries an annual dividend rate of 7.3260%, while Series H, or ALCPH, offers 7.8105% per year, subject to the terms of the issuance.
The subscription period is scheduled from September 14 to September 18.
Preferred shares typically provide investors with fixed dividends and give them priority over common shareholders in the distribution of dividends.
GStocks PH said its digital subscription system is intended to lower the barriers for retail investors by removing many of the documentary and procedural requirements traditionally associated with securities offerings.
Through its fully digital IPO and follow-on offering subscription facility, investors can place their orders without visiting a physical brokerage office. The platform also features a subscription meter and real-time information on the shares available under AB Capital Securities’ allocation.
Investors can use the system to track the remaining shares assigned to the broker and receive confirmation of their allocation after subscribing, rather than having to wait until the offering period ends.
If the broker’s initial allocation is fully subscribed and demand exceeds the available shares on GStocks PH, investors may still place orders. Their final allocation, however, will only be determined after the subscription period closes.
“Financial inclusion is not only about more financial services. It is about creating a simpler, more rewarding experience that keeps Filipinos’ needs in mind. By digitizing financial services and making investing more convenient, we make it easier for Filipinos to participate and take greater control of their financial journeys,” said Winsley Bangit, Group Head of New Businesses at Mynt.
Fully verified GCash users who want to participate can access the offering by opening the GCash app, selecting Invest, and proceeding to GStocks PH.
New users can complete the onboarding process through the platform, while funds can be transferred to and from their GCash wallets without requiring a separate bank account.
The initiative is expected to give more Filipinos easier digital access to securities offerings and provide another avenue for individuals seeking to build their savings and investments.
