QUEZON CITY, Philippines — The local government of Quezon City has established a dedicated dispute resolution desk designed to streamline assistance for employees and management seeking to resolve workplace grievances.
Mayor Joy Belmonte and Department of Labor and Employment-National Capital Region (DOLE-NCR) Regional Director Atty. Roy Buenafe formalized the initiative by signing a memorandum of agreement for the Quezon City Alternative Dispute Resolution Desk (QUAD-RD) Program.
Under the new desk, local workers and business owners can access alternative dispute resolution services to resolve conflicts amicably. Designated personnel will receive specialized training to maintain impartial proceedings and assist parties in reaching mutually beneficial solutions.
The program also strengthens the referral network among key labor authorities in the city.
QUAD-RD represents a collaborative effort among the Quezon City government, DOLE-NCR, the DOLE Quezon City Field Office, the Regional Conciliation and Mediation Branch-NCR, the National Labor Relations Commission, and the Quezon City Public Employment Service Office.
By enhancing inter-agency cooperation, the participating offices aim to resolve employment issues early through open dialogue before disputes escalate further, ultimately fostering industrial peace and balanced labor relations across Quezon City.
