SEOUL, South Korea — K-pop group Seventeen’s Jeonghan and Joshua are teaming up to form a new duo named JxJ, with plans to launch their debut mini-album this autumn.
The upcoming record, titled “Dreamscape,” is scheduled to drop on October 19 at 6 p.m. KST. The project explores both sides of dreams: the unconscious fantasies experienced during sleep and the aspirational ideals pursued in waking life.
The unit formed as Seventeen members pursue solo and small-group projects while the full group is on hiatus due to mandatory military enlistment. Jeonghan completed his 21-month military service on June 25, while Joshua, an American citizen, is exempt from South Korea’s military requirements.
Both singers are widely recognized for their vocal performances, expressive styling, and visuals as part of Seventeen’s vocal team.
Prior to this release, Joshua covered Japanese singer-songwriter Tuki.’s viral hit “Bansanka,” while Jeonghan released the digital single “Baby Come Home.”
