MANILA, Philippines — A combination of new programs and returning favorites will fill the afternoon television lineup of ABS-CBN and TV5 beginning October.
TV5 has confirmed that the romantic-comedy series “Mommy Guard,” produced by TV5 Entertainment and Pelikula Independent, will premiere in the network’s 2:30 p.m. timeslot starting Monday, October 5.
The series, which stars 1990s love team Jolina Magdangal and Marvin Agustin, also features fellow 1990s stars Dominic Ochoa and Roxanne Guinoo.
“Mommy Guard” was initially planned for a pre-noontime schedule before TV5 moved it to the 2:30 p.m. slot.
The series will also be available through ABS-CBN’s free television and digital platforms, including Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z, ABS-CBN on ALLTV, and iWant.
At 3:15 p.m., TV5 and ABS-CBN will air different programs as part of their respective lineups.
TV5 will bring back the 2023 action-drama series “Lumuhod Ka Sa Lupa,” produced by TV5 and Studio VIVA, while Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z, and ABS-CBN on ALLTV will air a repeat of the 2025 revenge-drama series “What Lies Beneath.”
The unified ABS-CBN-TV5 afternoon lineup currently begins at 2:30 p.m. with the Kapatid inspirational series “My Bespren Emman,” which is scheduled to conclude on Friday, October 2.
