MANILA, Philippines — Travelers and pedestrians along United Nations Avenue in Ermita can now easily access essential police and emergency contact details following the installation of a new digital LED wall at the Manila Police District (MPD) headquarters.
The prominent outdoor screen was put up on the facade of the headquarters building to ensure key hotline numbers remain highly visible to the public, offering immediate assistance during urgent situations without requiring people to search for individual station numbers.
In addition to the MPD’s primary hotline and local precinct contact details across the district, the electronic display features the nationwide Unified 911 Emergency Hotline for rapid reference.
The public information initiative was carried out through a joint partnership between the MPD and civic organization JCI Manila. The project aims to strengthen community ties and modernize police infrastructure to improve public access to critical services.
The digital upgrade forms part of broader facilities development under the leadership of Brig. Gen. Arnold Santiago as the MPD works to expand its communication channels for Manila residents and visitors.
