QUEZON CITY, Philippines — The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will bring widespread cloudiness and rain showers across Palawan, the Visayas, and Mindanao on Tuesday, September 29, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported.
In its 4:00 AM weather forecast, the state weather bureau indicated that the ITCZ will trigger overcast skies alongside scattered rainfall and thunderstorms over Palawan, Western Visayas, the Negros Island Region, Central Visayas, Northern Mindanao, the Zamboanga Peninsula, and Caraga.
The weather system is also expected to affect the remainder of the Visayas and Mindanao, bringing partly cloudy to cloudy weather accompanied by isolated rain showers or localized thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will see fair weather conditions with partly cloudy to cloudy skies, though localized thunderstorms may bring brief, isolated downpours.
PAGASA cautioned residents in affected regions to remain vigilant against possible flash floods and landslides during periods of moderate to heavy rainfall or severe thunderstorms.
