JAPANESE SINGER TAKASE TOYA SETS DEBUT PH CONCERT AFTER OVERWHELMING CALLS FROM LOCAL FANS

Japanese singer Takase Toya is finally heading to the Philippines after receiving repeated requests from Filipino fans eager to see him perform live.

During an online media conference, Takase shared his excitement about meeting his Pinoy fans, who have been asking him to visit the country.

Although the Philippines was not included in his recent Asian tour, he is now set to make up for the missed stop with his first Philippine concert.

“He says he receives many posts inviting him to come to the Philippines. He recently went on an Asian tour, but unfortunately, the Philippines wasn’t included. So, I’m really excited to meet my Pinoy fans,” his interpreter said.

Takase also hopes the Manila audience will sing along to his songs, which he believes Filipino fans will easily pick up.

“He is very excited because he knows that the Filipino audience is very good at singing. And he wants everyone to sing along because his songs are easy to learn,” the interpreter shared.

His Manila concert is part of the “TAKASE TOYA ASIA TOUR 2026,” which promotes his latest album, “∞” (2026). The singer will hold an intimate show at Teatrino Promenade, giving his growing Filipino fanbase a chance to see him perform up close.

Joining Takase are singer Fumiya Sato as the opening act and Angela of P-pop girl group KAIA, who was announced during the press conference as part of the show.

The collaboration with Angela also gives Takase an opportunity to explore a different music scene. According to his interpreter, the singer sees working with a P-pop artist as a new experience compared with Japan’s music industry.

“Since it’s the first time collaborating with a P-pop group, he said that it was very different from the Japanese music scene, and the reason he chose Angela was that he wanted to explore more of the P-pop genre,” the interpreter explained.

Beyond meeting his fans, Takase also has Filipino food on his must-try list. He is particularly eager to taste authentic sisig, even though he has already tried the dish in Japan.

Jollibee is also on his list, but sisig comes first.

“He really wants to eat authentic sisig; even though he’s already tried sisig here in Japan, he still prefers to taste the local version. He also wants to try Jollibee, but his priority is the sisig,” the interpreter said.
