CAGAYAN AND ISABELA, Philippines — Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Jonvic Remulla distributed 16 new Unified 911 motorcycles to local police units in Cagayan and Isabela on Friday, October 9, aimed at improving response times and boosting operational mobility.

Each province received an equal split of eight units to strengthen security measures across key municipalities and cities. In Isabela, the vehicles were assigned to Cauayan City, San Guillermo, Tumauini, Cabagan, Reina Mercedes, Alicia, Ramon, and San Manuel.

Meanwhile, the allocation in Cagayan went to Tuguegarao City, Peñablanca, Iguig, Piat, Claveria, Santa Ana, and the Tourist Police Unit, which secured two units.

During the turnover ceremony, Remulla urged law enforcement officers to intensify crime-fighting efforts and maximize the new resources to maintain peace and order.

”Together we must stand as a nation moving forward, not looking backward. We must learn lessons from the past,” Remulla said.

High-ranking officials attended the event, including Philippine National Police Chief PGen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr., Bureau of Fire Protection officer-in-charge Fire Chief Supt. Wilberto Rico Neil Ang Kwan Tiu, Cagayan Governor Edgar Aglipay, and Isabela Governor Rodolfo Albano III.
