MAKATI CITY — Singer Elha Nympha has abruptly withdrawn from her upcoming theatrical run in “Inday: The Musical” just 24 hours before the show’s grand opening, according to Studio A Productions.
The sudden departure shocked supporters of the Kapamilya artist, prompting the production company to release an official statement via Instagram confirming her exit from the cast.
”Studio A Productions respects the decision of Ms. Elha Nympha to step away from ‘Inday: The Musical,’ a day before its scheduled opening,” the company announced.
”Our creative team is now making the necessary adjustments to bring Inday to life, and we are fully committed to opening the show on the scheduled dates,” it added.
Producers have chosen to keep the specific reasons behind Nympha’s departure private. The musical, set to run this October at the RCBC Plaza in Makati City, features iconic tracks by the OPM band the Boyfriends and delves into heartfelt themes centered on love, family, and cherished memories.
Nympha first captured the national spotlight in 2015 when she claimed victory in the second season of “The Voice Kids” under the mentorship of rock icon Bamboo Mañalac.
