A simultaneous analog television shutdown involving several free-to-air networks in Metro Manila and nearby provinces may take place on November 22, following reports that ALLTV did not proceed with its originally scheduled analog transmission shutdown on October 30.
According to industry sources, the management of Advanced Media Broadcasting System (AMBS), the operator of ALLTV, is reportedly considering aligning its analog shutdown with the scheduled transition of other free-to-air television networks rather than implementing a separate shutdown date.

The development could mean that ALLTV will join other broadcasters, including GMA Network, TV5, PTV-4, A2Z, RPTV, and IBC-13, in ending their analog television transmissions as part of the country’s transition to digital broadcasting.
ALLTV, like A2Z and TV5, also carries selected ABS-CBN entertainment and news programs through its free-to-air Channel 2. The frequency was previously used by ABS-CBN before its broadcasting operations were halted in May 2020 following the denial of its application for a new legislative franchise by the House of Representatives.
Meanwhile, the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) has set November 22, 2026, as the target date for the completion of the analog switch-off in Mega Manila, covering Metro Manila and nearby provinces. The transition is part of the government’s directive for television broadcasters to migrate to the digital ISDB-T standard.
In a related development, sources said members of the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP) will be required to air the organization’s official advisory concerning the November 22 analog shutdown.
The directive reportedly applies to KBP-member free-to-air television networks that have yet to produce or broadcast their own public information materials about the impending transition.
The advisory is intended to remind television viewers about the upcoming change and encourage households that still rely on analog television reception to prepare for the switch to digital broadcasting.
The November 22 deadline marks a major step in the country’s transition away from traditional analog television broadcasting, making it increasingly important for affected households to have digital-ready television sets or compatible digital set-top boxes to continue accessing free-to-air channels.
