PNP REPORTS PEACEFUL AND ORDERLY UNDAS 2026 NATIONWIDE

The Philippine National Police (PNP) reported that the observance of Undas 2026 remained generally peaceful and orderly across the country, according to a report released on Monday, November 2.

Authorities attributed the smooth operations to proactive security measures, close inter-agency coordination, and public compliance as millions flocked to cemeteries and traveled to the provinces. To secure public spaces—including cemeteries, columbaria, churches, transport hubs, major roads, and tourist spots—the PNP deployed a total of 166,365 personnel and force multipliers under a full alert status.

Strategic personnel placement and early preparations allowed police to effectively manage traffic, maintain security, and assist travelers.

PNP Chief PGen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. credited the successful nationwide deployment to a combination of police discipline and public cooperation.

“Based on reports from the ground, this year’s Undas was generally peaceful and orderly, reflecting the discipline of our personnel and the cooperation of the public,” PNP Chief PGen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said in a statement.

He added, “Our priority was to ensure people could honor their loved ones safely, and we are encouraged by the results of our collective efforts.”

Nartatez also expressed appreciation for the dedication of officers who spent the holiday on duty away from their loved ones, as well as the support provided by volunteer force multipliers and partner government agencies.

“To every police officer who stood on duty while others were with their families, I extend my deepest gratitude,” he said. “Your sacrifice reflects the highest meaning of public service and the trust that the Filipino people place in the PNP.”
