The observance of All Saints’ Day across Metro Manila concluded peacefully without any major security incidents, according to the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO).

Over the weekend, an estimated 2.5 million people flocked to 76 monitored cemeteries to pay respects to their departed loved ones. Despite the massive crowds, the NCRPO reported that movement remained stable throughout the holiday period.

”Lahat po ay na-manage ng maayos sa tulong po ng ating police assistance at coordinated crowd control,” NCRPO spokesperson Police Lt. Col. Hazel Asilo said.

While minor traffic congestion was noted near major burial grounds, authorities confirmed that surrounding thoroughfares remained passable. To maintain public safety and provide immediate assistance, approximately 17,000 security personnel were deployed across Metro Manila throughout the Undas weekend.

Police authorities also reported zero cases of theft or other petty crimes within major cemeteries. With the long weekend coming to a close, law enforcement personnel remain on high alert to assist travelers heading back into the metropolis.
