The Best of Anime Returns this September with The Reunion After 3 Years

The Best of Anime (BOA) was one of the most anticipated conventions in the Philippines organized by Primetrade Asia, Inc., before it abruptly disappeared a year before the pandemic.

The Best of Anime 2023: The Reunion revealed their line-up of guest for September 16, 2023 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City. They promised everyone with exciting activities and performance, because this year’s appearance is their most awaited return in the convention scene. Attendees can also show off their talents in the following competitions: All-Star Cosplay Competition, Anime Sing-Off, and Anime Idol Dance Battle.


UchuSentai:NOIZ (宇宙戦隊NOIZ) is a Japanese visual kei rock band formed in 1999 by Angel Taka (Lead Vocalist), Masato (Guitarist and Vocalist), Kyo (Bassist), Kotaro (Guitarist) and Yamato (Drums). They are well-known for their cool and colourful ‘eccentric cosplay-like’ costumes as well as extremely energetic music. The band has released ten albums, thirty-three singles, and four cover videos of Filipino songs: Narda, Liwanag sa Dilim, Pinoy Ako, and Superhero.

Starmarie (スターマリー) is a Japanese idol group known for their music and charisma, who have enchanted everyone since 2008. They began as a three-member group, consisting of Kaori Arai, Saya Sekine, and Shiori Aoki. Nozomi Kishita joined as the fourth member in August of the same year, while Shino Takamori joined after Kaori Arai graduated. The group is well-known for anime such as Cardfight!! Vanguard G and Onigiri.

Chicken Blow The Idol is a Japanese rock idol group composed of four members: Asuka Kazahana, Tsubomi Ruiru, Mikan Akari and Mayo Fujiwa. They debuted in 2017 but released their first full album ‘sotto voce‘, last year. They are a live idol group that combines a youthful rock music with seifuku costumes.

Pastel Mix is a Davao-based J-pop cover idol group. They cover songs by various jpop idol groups such as Walkure, Love Live, Angerme, AKB48, and many more. The group began in 2008 as ‘Nyan Nyan‘, with three pioneer members covering the girl group ‘Buono’, and by 2010, they decided to change the name to ‘Pastel Mix’, while expanding their group! They performed first in Mindanao, specifically Davao, their home court, and quickly gained popularity in 2018 as they were invited as guest for Manila Idol Matsuri.

Miura Ayame (ミウラアイム) is a Japanese soloist, seiyuu, utaite, and cosplayer. He is the former lead singer of the visual kei band ‘Ecthelion‘ from 2013 to 2015. In 2019, he played as Asmodeus in the otome game and anime series Obey Me! and performed its opening theme song ‘Sinful Indulgence‘ as well as its second ending songs ‘Celestial Rey‘ and ‘Loveless‘.


Reika Arikawa (麗華) is one of the top cosplayers of this generation. She will return to the Philippines holding a Cosplay Make-Up Workshop to teach the attendees how to use make-up suitably in cosplay. Her expertise in cosplay is highly valued, and her presence will undoubtedly add excitement to the event, In addition, some fans might even get a chance to meet her up close during her Meet and Greet.

AC Hernandez is an alumni from World Cosplay Summit – Philippines (WCS) and part of the ‘Team Namikaze‘ along with Jin. He will demonstrate his skills with a Prop Making Workshop, which aims to help cosplayers create props from common resources for contests and photo shoots.
