VIVA One is making waves beyond the streaming world as its original series find a new home on free TV through the newly launched “VIVA One on TV5” programming block.
The move kicked off with the successful airing of the hit teen drama Ang Mutya ng Section E, starring rising loveteam Andres Muhlach and Ashtine Olviga.
The series, originally available on VIVA One, has gained strong ratings on free TV according to recent data from the National Urban Television Audience Measurement (NUTAM).
With only seven episodes remaining in its free TV run, Ang Mutya ng Section E is set to be replaced by another VIVA One original: Seducing Drake Palma, led by Rabin Angeles, Angela Muji, and Dylan Menor, beginning Monday, June 14.
TV5 viewers can also look forward to more VIVA content soon, including Avenues of the Diamond starring Aubrey Caraan and Lance Carr, and the local adaptation of Bad Genius: The Series featuring Atasha Muhlach, Gab Lagman, Hyacinth Callado, and Jairus Aquino.
The “VIVA One on TV5” block is part of the network’s effort to provide diverse and engaging programming to free TV viewers during a primetime slot often dominated by news programs from major networks.
