Actress-singer and TV host Atasha Muhlach remains a proud “Dabarkads,” despite temporarily stepping away from her hosting duties on the long-running noontime show Eat Bulaga!.
According to multiple sources and her recent interview with the Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP), Atasha has stepped back from the show to focus on filming and promoting her first-ever lead acting role in the Philippine adaptation of Bad Genius The Series, based on the hit 2017 Thai film.
“Of course, I would love to [return], only if my schedule permits,” Atasha said, adding, “Kasi, sabi ko, I wanna give my 100% sa project. But my love for the Dabarkads will always be there. I love them so much. Alam nila yan. I love you guys and thank you guys for everything.”
When asked when she might return to Eat Bulaga!, she explained, “Kailangan po, we need to finish this show muna. Tapos, tapusin natin yung promo. Of course, I love to. I miss all of them. I miss Dabarkads at yung mga Dabarkads.”
Insiders hint that Atasha could return to the noontime show by the end of the year.
Atasha stars as Lin in Bad Genius The Series, which premieres July 17 on VIVA One and will also air soon on free TV via TV5.
She is also set to appear at the VIVA One VIVArkada Concert on August 15.
