The story conference for the upcoming romantic drama “Minamahal: 100 Bulaklak Para Kay Luna” was held on Wednesday, July 9, at VIVA Café, attended by select members of the media.

The event was graced by the film’s stars, rising love team Ashtine Olviga and Andres Muhlach—collectively known as “AshDres”—as well as the movie’s writer and director, Jason Paul Laxamana.
Laxamana revealed that he had long envisioned Andres in the lead role of Raffy even before the young actor entered showbiz.

“Nung pinitch ko yun, hindi pa nag-aartista nun si Andres nung time na yun. I just had this hunch na feeling ko magiging future star ‘tong si Andres so kung titignan nyo yung powerpoint na prinisent ko sa VIVA, si Andres yung nakalagay,” Laxamana shared.
He described the chemistry between the two leads as “organic and genuine,” a dynamic he witnessed firsthand while filming the movie’s teaser.
“I saw them while filming the teaser. The word I’d use to describe their chemistry is organic and genuine,” Laxamana shared.

As the shoot draws closer, Andres shared that he and Ashtine are undergoing workshops to prepare:
“Syempre nagre-ready na kami ni Ash nagwo-workshop kami and uhm, it’s going to be a fun process and we’re gonna learn many new things especially since bago pa kami and thank you rin kay Direk (JP) talaga because he’s gonna be there to guide us,” Andres said.

Ashtine, on the other hand, emphasized her dedication to mastering the script: “Siguro sa preparation po syempre, doon po talaga ako magfo-focus sa script, mine-make sure ko po talaga na if magte-take na po kami kabisado ko na po yung script para pag nagte-take na kami ang ifo-focus ko na lang ay paano makukuha yung emosyon ng karakter,” she added.

“Minamahal: 100 Bulaklak Para Kay Luna” tells a story of enduring love across the years.

The film, produced by VIVA Films and Ninuno Media, opens in cinemas worldwide on Wednesday, September 24.
