According to the latest Pulse Asia survey, most Filipinos want President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to focus on controlling the rising prices of goods or inflation in his 2025 State of the Nation Address (SONA).
The survey, released on July 11, showed that 32.9% of the people said this is the most important issue.
Other concerns include increasing wages, peace and order, more jobs and livelihood, and reducing poverty and hunger.
Some also mentioned help for farmers, financial aid, fighting corruption, the return of former President Rodrigo Duterte who is currently detained in ICC’s detention facility for crimes against humanity, protection of the West Philippine Sea, education, and justice.
In Metro Manila, Visayas, and among middle-class groups, inflation is the top concern.
In Mindanao which is known as the Duterte bailiwick, peace and order is the main issue.
The survey also showed that more people are now aware of President Marcos’ past SONAs, with 78% saying they have heard of them.
The survey was done from June 26 to 30, 2025, with 1,200 adult respondents.
Pulse Asia said the study was done independently and not paid for by any group.
