GOVERNMENT AGENCIES, SECURITY FORCES READY FOR PRESIDENT MARCOS’ 4TH SONA

Government agencies are in full preparation for President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s fourth State of the Nation Address (SONA) scheduled for Monday, July 28, at the Batasang Pambansa in Quezon City.

The House of Representatives showcased its final preparations through social media, highlighting readiness to host the President’s annual report to the nation.

Aside from the President’s address, both chambers of Congress — the House of Representatives and the Senate — are also expected to elect their respective leaders for the 20th Congress, including the new House Speaker and Senate President.

President Marcos himself shared his personal readiness for the event via social media, stating:

“All set to deliver the message of Bagong Pilipinas.”

The Philippine National Police (PNP), under the leadership of Chief PGen. Nicolas Torre III, also confirmed that all security measures are in place not only at the Batasan Complex but also along designated protest routes and key thoroughfares.

Torre assured the public of orderly conduct and security throughout the event, particularly in areas where anti-administration groups are expected to stage rallies.

The SONA will lay out the administration’s achievements over the past year and outline the government’s policy direction under the “Bagong Pilipinas” vision.
