Filipina tennis star Alex Eala is through to the Round of 16 of the São Paulo Open in Brazil.
The tournament’s second seed showed no mercy against French qualifier Yasmine Mansouri in their opening-round clash on Wednesday, September 10 (Philippine Time).
Eala controlled the entire match, sweeping the first nine games and wrapping it up in just one hour and ten minutes, finishing with a commanding 6-0, 6-2 victory.
This marks the 20-year-old Pinay’s sixth straight win, extending her hot streak that began at the Guadalajara 125 Open in Mexico.
Up next, Eala will face Julia Riera of Argentina in the next round on Thursday.
