More than a month before its official theatrical release, the upcoming romantic-drama film Minamahal is already showing signs of being a certified box-office hit.
The much-awaited movie starring the rising love team of Andres Muhlach and Ashtine Olviga (AshDres) has been pulling strong numbers in advance ticket sales across major cinema chains—even without TV promotions, mall tours, or even its official full trailer, which is set to drop on August 24 (Sunday).
Based on seating charts from TriNoma, SM North EDSA, and Robinsons Galleria Ortigas, fans have already secured a huge number of seats for the movie’s opening day.
The Keepers, AshDres’ ever-passionate fandom, proudly flexed their secured tickets online, proving their unshakable support for the duo’s big-screen debut. Several fan groups have also lined up block screenings for the opening day, cementing the hype.
All these early numbers are a strong testament to how eager fans are for the first-ever AshDres movie, following the massive success of their series Ang Mutya ng Section E.
Minamahal is written and directed by critically acclaimed filmmaker Jason Paul Laxamana and will officially open in cinemas nationwide on September 24.
