Film production company MQuest Ventures once again proved its exceptional talent in delivering meaningful and high-quality films for Filipinos. At the recently concluded 2025 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) Gabi ng Parangal last Saturday, December, their official entry “Manila’s Finest” garnered eight awards.
In partnership with Cignal Entertainment and Spring Films, the movie won Best Float, Gatpuno Antonio J. Villegas Cultural Award, Best Original Theme Song for Piolo Pascual’s “Sandalan” written by veteran songwriter Vehnee Saturno, Best Sound, Best Musical Score, Best Production Design, Best Cinematography for director Raymond Red, and Third Best Festival Picture, tying with ABS-CBN’s family drama “Call Me Mother”.

The film also received seven nominations, including Best Actor for Piolo Pascual, Best Supporting Actor for Cedrick Juan, Best Supporting Actress for Ashtine Olviga, Best Director for Raymond Red, Best Screenplay for Moira Lang, Michiko Yamamoto, and Sherad Anthony Sanchez, Best Visual Effects, and Best Editing.
This is not the first time MQuest Ventures has dominated the MMFF awards.
In 2024, their entry “The Kingdom”, co-produced with M-Zet TV Productions and APT Entertainment and starring Vic Sotto and Piolo Pascual, won five awards, including Best Production Design, Best Visual Effects, Gatpuno Antonio J. Villegas Cultural Award, Best Director for Michael Tuviera, and 2nd Best Picture.

In 2023, the historical film “GomBurZa” secured seven awards, such as Best Actor for Cedrick Juan, Best Director for Pepe Diokno, Best Cinematography, Best Production Design, Best Sound, Gatpuno Antonio J. Villegas Cultural Award, and 2nd Best Picture.

These consecutive successes prove that even as a relatively new player in the industry, MQuest Ventures is capable of competing with major production houses, consistently delivering high-quality and meaningful stories for Filipino audiences.
