STAR CINEMA FILMS LEAD 2025 PH BOX OFFICE

Films produced by ABS-CBN Corporation’s Star Cinema have dominated the list of top-grossing Filipino movies in 2025, led by the family drama Meet, Greet and Bye.

The film, starring Maricel Soriano, Piolo Pascual, Joshua Garcia, Belle Mariano, and JK Labajo, currently holds the top spot among local releases this year, with worldwide earnings already surpassing ₱200 million based on the latest update from the Kapamilya film outfit.

Following closely is the romantic-comedy My Love Will Make You Disappear, starring Paulo Avelino and Kim Chiu, which has earned ₱173 million at the box office.

Several other local films also posted solid earnings. These include:

  • 100 Awit Para Kay Stella starring JC Santos, Bela Padilla, and Kyle Echarri
  • Quezon led by Jericho Rosales
  • Minamahal: 100 Bulaklak Para Kay Luna starring Andres Muhlach and Ashtine Olviga
  • Sunshine featuring Maris Racal.

GMA Pictures also recorded modest success with its latest horror release, KMJS’ Kagat ng Dilim, inspired by the horror specials of the long-running magazine show Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho.

Industry observers expect possible shifts in the 2025 box office rankings with the entry of eight films competing in the 51st Metro Manila Film Festival, which opens in cinemas on December 25.
