Malacañang said Wednesday that the enrolled copy of the proposed 2026 General Appropriations Bill (GAB) will be submitted to President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. before Christmas for review and possible approval.
“Sa ating pagkakaalam, bago mag-Pasko ay isusumite nila ‘yung enrolled copy ng GAB,” Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said at a press briefing.
The Senate approved the ₱6.793 trillion national budget on third and final reading on Tuesday. The bicameral conference committee is scheduled to meet from December 11 to 13 to reconcile differences between the Senate and House versions.
Once ratified by both chambers, the GAB will be transmitted to Malacañang. Marcos is expected to sign the General Appropriations Act by December 29.
