Akbayan Citizens’ Action Party has obtained and released the Statements of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth (SALN) of Vice President Sara Duterte, as calls for transparency intensify in the wake of the massive flood control scandal.
The partylist, led by Senate Deputy Majority Leader Risa Hontiveros, also publicized the SALNs of President Bongbong Marcos, former President Rodrigo Duterte, and former Ombudsman Samuel Martires.
Based on her latest filing, Duterte’s net worth climbed to ₱88,512,370.22 as of December 31, 2024, up from ₱71,658,841 when she assumed the vice presidency.
She declared agricultural, memorial, and residential real properties worth ₱66,808,891, jointly owned with her husband Manases Carpio and their children.
Her December 31, 2023 SALN recorded a net worth of ₱77,508,841, following her ₱71,658,841 declaration in 2022.
Duterte recently maintained that her SALN is “not difficult” to obtain, noting that she expects political rivals to scrutinize her records.
In practice, however, access to such documents had been limited under former Ombudsman Samuel Martires, whose restrictions curtailed public availability of wealth disclosures for top officials.
