Former Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo, along with co-accused Jaimielyn Santos Cruz and Rachelle Joan Malonzo Carreon, has begun a mandatory five-day quarantine at the Reception and Diagnostic Center (RDC) of the Correctional Institution for Women (CIW) in Mandaluyong City.
The Bureau of Corrections confirmed that the three were transferred late Friday night, December 5, from the Pasig City Jail Women’s Dormitory.
They arrived at 10:17 p.m., escorted by BJMP officers led by Pasig female dormitory warden JCINSP Jean Olive Unciano, following a Mittimus Order issued by Judge Annielyn B. Mendes-Cabels of RTC Branch 167.
Guo — also known as Guo Hua Ping — has been assigned Prison No. C225P-531, while Cruz and Carreon were logged as C225P-530 and C225P-529, respectively. All three were sentenced to life imprisonment and fined ₱2 million for qualified trafficking.
CIW Chief CT/Supt. Marjorie Ann Sanidad said the five-day quarantine is standard for all newly admitted persons deprived of liberty.
During this period, the three will undergo a “thorough medical examination” to assess their health and ensure they pose no risk to the general prison population.
After quarantine, “they will be transferred to the RDC’s regular dormitory, where they will stay for 55 days and undergo the mandatory orientation, diagnostics, and qualification.”
