ALL NCR LGUS RATED “HIGH FUNCTIONAL” IN ADAC AUDIT

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) announced that all 17 Metro Manila local government units (LGUs) received a “high functional” rating in the 2025 Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) Performance Audit.

The annual audit, assessing LGU performance for 2024, measures the effectiveness of local ADACs in implementing anti-drug strategies, maintaining drug-cleared statuses, and supporting community-based rehabilitation programs.

“It aims to recognize exemplary performance and identify areas for capacity development,” the DILG explained.

The agency emphasized that it serves not only as an auditor but also as a partner in governance, providing tools, training, and technical support to help LGUs move from compliance to excellence.

Earlier, the DILG evaluated 1,716 local ADACs nationwide to monitor community efforts in addressing the drug problem and to highlight innovative programs and successful strategies.

The recognition underscores Metro Manila’s collective effort in strengthening local anti-drug initiatives and sustaining reforms at the community level.
