Former National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) spokesperson Lorraine Badoy has issued a warning to former Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Nicolas Torre III after the court dismissed the sedition charges filed against her and 13 others.
In a Facebook post on Saturday, October 19, Badoy expressed gratitude to her lawyers but claimed she felt indifferent toward the outcome of the case.
“I am deeply grateful to my lawyers, but I feel nothing about this case—at least not on the level where I’m thinking it’s over and I can celebrate,” she said.
Badoy emphasized that there was nothing to celebrate amid what she described as a dark chapter under the “oppressive regime” of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
“And I want Nic Torre to know this is not over. Not by a long shot. I will make him pay through his ugly teeth, and it is I, not him, not any court, that will say when it is over,” she added.
Torre previously filed a sedition complaint against Badoy and several others following the incident involving members of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC), who allegedly attempted to block the arrest of their leader, televangelist Apollo Quiboloy. Quiboloy faces multiple charges related to human and sex trafficking.
