Baguio City Mayor Benjie Magalong has formally resigned from his post as Special Adviser of the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI).
In a letter sent to President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Friday, September 26, Magalong expressed his gratitude to the President for the trust given to him.

Magalong also stressed that his duties as mayor of Baguio City have never been neglected.
His resignation came after Palace Press Officer Usec. Claire Castro confirmed that President Marcos had asked his legal team to review Magalong’s appointment to the ICI. The move followed reports of a possible “conflict of interest” and questions over whether Magalong could still fully perform his responsibilities as Baguio City’s chief executive.
