BARZAGA MOVES TO IMPEACH MARCOS OVER BETRAYAL OF PUBLIC TRUST

Cavite 4th District Representative Kiko Barzaga has filed impeachment complaints against President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., submitting the documents while at the House of Representatives on Wednesday, October 8.

In a 37-second vlog recorded inside the Batasang Pambansa, Barzaga showed the session hall and quipped, “Welcome to the crocodile farm.” He added in jest, “Absent ulit ang mga buwaya, nagbakasyon na, hehehe,” as he pointed to the empty seats of the chamber.

Later in the video, Barzaga revealed his “surprise” for viewers — the “Marcos impeachment complaint.” He said the complaint was filed “under the grounds of betrayal of public trust and culpable violation of the Constitution.”

“And hopefully, Congress will remove him soon, so we can start investigating those in the flood control anomalies, hehehe, bye bye Marcos!” the lawmaker added.

Barzaga has been among the vocal critics of Leyte 1st District Representative and former House Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez, who is the President’s cousin.

As of writing, Malacañang has yet to issue any statement or response regarding the impeachment filing.
