The bicameral conference committee approved the 2026 proposed budget of the Office of the Vice President (OVP) at ₱889.2 million, maintaining the same amount as proposed under the National Expenditure Program (NEP).
The House version had earlier reduced the OVP budget to ₱733 million after Vice President Sara Duterte declined to defend her office’s budget during deliberations.
Duterte refused to answer questions regarding her office’s use of some ₱625 million in confidential funds from 2022 and 2023, citing a pending impeachment case and concerns over national security.
