The Bureau of Customs (BOC) on Tuesday remitted ₱102.4 million to the National Treasury from the auction of luxury vehicles seized from the Discaya family and their companies, transforming alleged illicit wealth into funds for public programs.
Under Commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno, the BOC has intensified anti-smuggling efforts while stressing transparency in managing confiscated assets.

“The successful auction and turnover of these proceeds demonstrate the Bureau of Customs’ resolve to enforce the law while ensuring that recovered assets are returned to the Filipino people and utilized to support national development,” Nepomuceno said.
Thirteen high-end vehicles—including a 2023 Rolls-Royce Cullinan, a 2022 Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG, a 2019 Mercedes-Benz G500 Brabus, and a 2022 Bentley Bentayga—were seized for violations of the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act. Public auctions held between November 2025 and February 2026 sold nine vehicles, raising ₱102.4 million.
Atty. Jerekko Cadorna, representing National Treasurer Sharon Almanza, hailed the turnover as “a victory of the rule of law” and praised inter-agency collaboration.

“Through the disposition of these forfeited assets, resources once tied to a legal dispute are now converted into public funds that will directly support national priorities,” he said.
Four vehicles remain unsold, including a 2022 GMC Yukon Denali and a 2022 Maserati Levante Modena, which may be offered in future auctions.
The turnover highlights the BOC’s Integrity, Accountability, and Modernization initiatives, aimed at strengthening revenue collection, securing borders, and ensuring transparent management of government assets.
The Bureau of the Treasury noted:
“Every peso remitted to the National Treasury strengthens the government’s capacity to fund vital projects, deliver essential social services, and maintain fiscal stability.”
