Senator Bong Go has broken his silence following the plunder complaint filed against him by former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV before the Office of the Ombudsman.
In an interview with reporters on Tuesday, October 21, Go said that he welcomes any investigation and emphasized that all those involved in corruption must be held accountable — even if it includes his own family.
Kasuhan ninyo po,” he stated.
It can be recalled that aside from former President Rodrigo Duterte, Trillanes also filed charges against Go’s father and brother, who allegedly own two construction firms that were awarded infrastructure projects worth ₱7 billion.
Reports claim that Go’s close relationship with the former president allegedly paved the way for his family members to secure the said projects.
Go, however, shifted the focus back to the core issue, stressing that the real concern lies in the alleged irregularities in the flood control projects.
He reiterated his call for fairness and accountability, saying that anyone proven guilty of wrongdoing — regardless of status or relation — should face justice.
