The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) has placed all airport operations across the country on heightened alert following the entry of Typhoon Uwan into the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
CAAP Director General Raul del Rosario ordered airport managers in affected regions to activate their emergency plans to ensure the safety of passengers, aircraft, and airport facilities.
The agency said coordination is ongoing with airlines, local governments, and disaster response teams as part of precautionary measures.
Due to bad weather, Cebu Pacific has canceled its Bicol flights 5J321 and 5J322, advising affected passengers to rebook or refund their tickets without additional charges.
Travelers are urged to monitor flight advisories and arrive early at airports, as schedules may still change depending on weather developments.
All CAAP units remain on standby for updates from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
