CASTRO QUESTIONS LACK OF INVESTIGATION INTO GO-RELATED CONSTRUCTION FIRMS

Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Atty. Claire Castro questioned why construction firms owned by the father and half-brother of Senator Bong Go—CLTG Builders and Alfrego Builders—were not prioritized in government investigations, during her livestream on Sunday, October 5.

Castro noted that if Senator Mark Villar is being scrutinized for a relative with ₱18.5 billion worth of government contracts in Las Piñas City, then the two Go-related construction firms, long linked to irregular flood control projects, should also be examined.

“Kinukuwestiyon nga si Sen. Mark Villar, pinsan lang ‘yun eh, namayagpag sa Las Piñas… edi mas mahirap kung tatay o kaya half brother ni Bong Go pero bakit kaya ‘yung imbestigador, (hin)di to nabanggit?” Castro said.

She added that CLTG Builders had reportedly partnered with St. Gerrard Construction, owned by contractor couple Curlee and Sarah Discaya, for projects in Davao.

“Bakit hindi ito napansin o pinansin ni imbestigador? Napunta na ng Davao. Ang dami nang pinuntahan pero bakit hindi ito sinilip?” Castro emphasized.

Senator Go has not yet responded to Castro’s statements or the Palace’s remarks regarding the issue.
