Communications Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro on Tuesday went to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to report a Facebook page for allegedly posting content that could be construed as threatening against her.
“Sa ngayon po kasi ang balak ko lang i-report. Kung magsasampa man ako ng kaso pag-iisipan ko muna,” Castro told reporters during her visit.
She stressed that her action for now is limited to formally documenting the incident and that she has yet to decide whether to pursue legal action.
The page cited, “Luminous by Trixie Cruz-Angeles and Ahmed Paglinawan,” has shared anti-administration sentiments and videos from Cruz-Angeles’ vlog.
Authorities have not confirmed whether the page is officially linked to the individuals identified.
Castro said one post that prompted her report contained language she described as disturbing and potentially threatening, going beyond political criticism.
Part of the post read: “Sana rin, sa bagong taong ito, maintindihan mo na na oras na nilaglag ka ng humans mo, appendix at coxyx mo lang ang walang latay, resulta ng mga pinagagagawa mo.”
She emphasized that she approached authorities to ensure proper documentation and assessment, leaving it to investigators to determine whether the content violates any laws.
