Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray, actor Elijah Canlas, and several other artists are expected to participate in the upcoming Trillion Peso March at the EDSA People Power Monument in Quezon City on November 30.
In an interview, Akbayan President Rafaela David confirmed that OPM band Ben&Ben will lead the musical segment of the protest.
“Happy tayo kasi some celebrities will be joining us na pangungunahan na ng Ben&Ben,” she said, thanking the band for canceling their gig on the same Sunday to prioritize the event for the country.
David added that other artists and OPM bands, including Over October and Hey Moonshine, are also expected to join, with more confirmations anticipated.
“Mayroon din tayong ibang celebrities kasama na si Catriona Gray, Si Elijah Canlas, at iba pang mga banda katulad ng Over October, Hey Moonshine, and hopefully many more will be confirming,” she said.
She expressed hope that the number of participants will triple compared to previous actions.
“Tayo po ay umaasa na kung noon ay umabot po tayo over a hundred thousands, sana po kung kayang madoble o matriple pa nga ‘yong number ng attendees natin this time,” David added.
Catriona Gray was also among the celebrities who joined the first Trillion Peso March against corruption on September 21.
