CLOUDY SKIES, OCCASIONAL RAIN EXPECTED FOR TRASLACION 2026

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Wednesday said cloudy skies with occasional rain are expected during the Traslacion on Friday, January 9, but no low pressure area is being monitored.

Currently, no storms or low pressure areas are expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

The annual Traslacion marks the transfer of the image of Jesus Nazareno from Intramuros to Quiapo Church. The National Capital Regional Police Office (NCRPO) said they aim to shorten the procession to 10–12 hours, compared to over 20 hours last year.

Devotees were reminded to follow the directives of Quiapo Church and authorities for a safe and orderly event.
